OUR MISSION

At AYA Yoga we empower people at every stage of their practice, from beginner to seasoned practitioner, to join together in community and embrace ourselves where we are, as we are. We create a welcoming atmosphere that honors who you are and who you are becoming. Whether you are searching for practices to reduce stress and feel more at home in your body, or curious about exploring your edges through powerful movement, you will find a home at AYA Yoga.

WE INVITE

We invite you to to explore yoga beyond the physical practice (asana). Breathwork, meditation and mindfulness are intentionally weaved into the core of our classes. Through these practices we aim to give you the awareness to navigate life’s transitions with equanimity and empowerment. Above all we believe that in order to be of service we must learn to listen. We do this by providing space for humans from all different walks of life to share their knowledge and experiences.

Come to explore, come to create, come to play.

We welcome you to join us exactly As. You. Are.

Community Guidelines

Here at AYA Yoga we strive to create a safe space for all members of the community. AYA is committed to holding high ethical standards for our yoga teachers and community members.

We uphold ourselves to co-create an inclusive community by adhering to the following guidelines:

  • Be respectful, thoughtful, and kind to every team member and community member at AYA. This includes a commitment to maintaining a community free from discrimination and harassment.

AYA Yoga prohibits harassment of any kind, this includes and is not limited to: unsolicited physical contact, unwanted sexual advances, threats of violence, intimidation, or offensive remarks towards anyone.

Our community prioritizes the inclusion and safety of all members. AYA Yoga will not stand for discrimination on the basis of age, skin tone, race, ability, body size, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, political affiliation, religion, education level, citizenship, or lived experience.

Show respect and reverence for all people and each individual’s bodily autonomy.

We encourage our community members to honor their own bodies and meet themselves where they are in their practice. Teachers will hold space for individual exploration while also taking into consideration the intention of the class, student safety, and respect for the class experience of all attendees.

Community members will respect others’ class experiences and will avoid detracting from other individuals’ practices wherever possible.

We believe that it is our shared responsibility to ensure a safe environment in which we can grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. If you have an experience that does not feel aligned with our community guidelines, please be in touch with us.
