teacher Training 2025

Connect to your voice.
Speak it loud.
AYA Yoga was founded on the belief that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching and practicing yoga. Our teacher training program is a deep dive into radical self-exploration & self-expression. In this 200hr training we will explore a blend of traditional and modern yogic practices to empower you with the tools and knowledge to build a practice that integrates both your passion and your truth.

We believe that radical self-expression and creativity is best supported by a strong base of knowledge and tradition.
In this training we offer a broad curriculum around the foundations of yoga and ethics, including history and philosophy, study of ancient texts, core postures and their Sanskrit names, alignment and anatomy, and vinyasa sequencing. We will also explore important modern considerations of yoga such as cultural appropriation, diversity in yoga, trauma-sensitive teaching, informed consent, and yoga through a professional lens.
From this base of knowledge, we will create a container for trainees to discover their own voice and style through practices that encourage deep self-reflection and knowing. We will explore journaling, meditation, creative writing, and speaking in community as pathways to authentic self-expression and embodied teaching. In learning how to hold space for ourselves, we learn how to hold space for others.
Embodied yoga isn’t all about practicing postures, it’s about resting in our true nature.
Gain the confidence to share your gifts with the world.
